The Post family started a new venture this year. We plowed and planted our very first garden. The kids think it’s so neat and in the words of Haven (age 6) upon seeing things sprout: “It’s a miracle!”
A garden is pretty miraculous and not unlike our lives. Most often, in order for something to grow, the ground has to be broken first. And from the broken soil comes life, growth, beauty.
Perhaps your life is broken. Your heart is shattered. That broken ground in your soul is fertile. Be sure not to waste the brokenness. Let God plant the seeds that will allow something beautiful to grow.
Psalm 51:17 – “The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.”
